route 06 Lake Biwa and Mt. Bunagatake Go via Myoo-in, the home of the kaihogyo, and climb the Hira Mt. from the west side.

Katsuragawa Myoo-in was the head of a group of temples known as the Hira Sanzenbo, and even today ascetic practice is conducted in the three waterfalls at the back of the temple. From Mt. Goten, enjoy a pleasant walk along the ridgeline while looking out on the southwest ridge and Mt. Bunagatake.
